Emily Greif, World Language (French)

“The thing I love most about teaching/working at SWS is… Getting to work with such a talented, thoughtful and dedicated staff.

In my free time I enjoy… spending time with my family, biking, jogging, traveling and reading.

In French class, we use a variety of activities to learn and practice the language: songs, games, physical movements, books, drawing and crafts and dancing. Not only does this appeal to children’s different learning styles, it makes for a fun and engaging classroom environment!

Children are naturally curious and excited learners, and have so much to share and express about their own worlds! Getting to work and engage with them on topics that they enjoy and feel connected to is so inspiring to me. There’s something very special about getting to be a child’s “first” French teacher and helping that child grow and discover.”
