In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, knitting, and reading.

I feel that the role of the teacher is to nurture a child’s curiosity and love of learning.

My greatest success in teaching seeing and hearing about all the amazing and successful lives that my former students are leading.”


Ms. Ewart brings 25+ years teaching experience to SWS. She’s taught 3rd grade and 4th grade, in English Language Arts and Science & Math. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education University of Maryland and was also:

  • Science Fellow at Carnegie Academy of Science Education (CASE)
  • Math Fellow at CASE
  • Instructor at CASE summer institute
  • Participant in Columbia Teacher’s College Readers Workshop
