This past summer, Mrs. Ricks sat with some of the top dignitaries in the education world, including Harvard’s legendary educator Howard Gardner, at both Harvard and the Washington International School Summer Institute sharing with educators from around the world the SWS story and our involvement in the Children as Citizen’s project.

Ms. Ricks, along with other SWS teachers, is an alum of the Center for Inspired Teaching, an organization in Washington, DC, which encourages teachers to rethink their role in the classroom, from information provider to Instigator of Thought® and be full collaborators in school improvement and reform strategies.
