Lauren Secco, inclusion and resource teacher

lauren-secco“The thing I love most about teaching/working at SWS is…the kindness. I love telling people I work at a kindness school and enjoy seeing the students work on being kind throughout the building.

The thing I am most proud of is….that I will be receiving my 2nd Masters at the end of this year! All my hard work will be rewarded!

In my free time I enjoy… cooking and grilling outside and gardening.

I am passionate about teaching children because I have always cared about children, come from a teaching family, and love to teach, but I never thought it would become my career. I am so passionate about teaching now because I love seeing my students grow and learn throughout the school year. I am PROUD to call myself a special education teacher and cherish every moment I have with my students.”

Ms. Secco has a Master’s in Teaching and is working towards a second Master’s in Administration. She has worked in the field of education for over 10 years. She was the Green School Coordinator at her previous school in Prince George’s County, which earned a Green School Award for working so hard on Environmental Literacy. She is happy to be working on the same issues at SWS.
