Amanda Parks-Bianco, Preschool-Kindergarten Special Education & 504 Coordinator

“The thing I love most about teaching/working at SWS is… It is such a warm and welcoming place with a great philosophy on how children learn particularly those with special needs. And we have great colleagues and amazing families.

The thing I am most proud of is…. Being a teacher and starting my own business.

In my free time I enjoy… Painting.

I see the role of the teacher in the learning process as … a facilitator of learning who brings the curriculum to life through finding ways for children to gain access to all subjects regardless of ability.

I love teaching as it is a chance for me to help students particularly those with disabilities to have the most engaging experience as possible and to achieve alongside their peers.”

Ms. Parks-Bianco has been teaching since 1996, and she has taught in Britain, the Middle East, and the Far East. She recently finished her doctoral degree and is currently working towards a earning a Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification.
